Special cement designs are required when cementing wells that are drilled through permafrost formations. All cement systems generate heat when mixed with water. This heat, also known as an exothermic reaction can melt formations, preventing the cement from achieving effective annular isolation. Our permafrost cements are designed to ensure low exothermic heat for excellent zonal and wellbore isolation.

Advantages

  • Good drillout times
  • Low heat of hydration
  • Pumped as per any standard cement system
  • Prevents formation destabilization
