ASA-2

ASA-2 is an anionic anti-sludge additive with strong water wetting capabilities on sandstone formations. It is often incorporated into acid mixtures as an anti-sludge additive and de-emulsifier. ASA-2 has the unique ability to provide stable mixtures with organic solvents.

ASA-2 Advantages

  • Imparts excellent anti-sludge properties to hydrochloric acid.
  • Dispersible with non-ionic and anionic acid additives.
  • Water wets both sandstone and carbonate formations.
  • Exhibits de-emulsification properties with some crude oils and condensates

ASA-30

ASA-30 is an acidizing additive that imparts anti-sludge and de-emulsification properties to hydrochloric acid. It is used in acid treatments where emulsion or sludge formation may occur as a result of unstable asphaltenes in the oil and is particularly effective in dark crudes with high API gravity. The emulsion breaking properties of ASA-30 allow it to prevent acid induced emulsions, as well as break existing downhole emulsions.

ASA-30 Advantages

  • Imparts excellent anti-sludge properties to hydrochloric acid
  • Dispersible with many acid additives
  • Dispersible in 28% hydrochloric acid
  • Water wets both sandstone and carbonate formations
  • Exhibits de-emulsification properties with light crude oils and condensates

ASA-5

ASA-5 is an anionic surfactant acidizing additive that imparts antisludge and de-emulsification properties to hydrochloric acid. It is used in treatments where emulsions or sludges could form as a result of unstable asphaltenes in oil.

ASA-5 Advantages

  • Imparts excellent antisludge properties to HCl
  • Strong de-emulsifying properties in both live and spent acid
